On December 12, KAAGNY, the 21 Hope Foundation, Korean Consul General Won Sam Chang, and filmmaker Joseph Juhn visited the House of Justice in Harlem, NY.

During the visit, scholarships were presented to to three students: Ahmed Kiel, Follyvi Dossa, and Aaliyah Caesar. The scholarship recipients were recommended by leaders of the National Action Network (NAN) and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

At the December 12 meeting, KAAGNY also delivered masks and hand sanitizers (donated by Beauty Plus) to the House of Justice. Filmmaker Joseph Juhn joined President Yoon to film footage of the rally for his upcoming documentary project, Chosen.

Reverend Al Sharpton, the founder and President of NAN, is a prolific civil rights leader who hosts weekly rallies at the House of Justice. The Saturday Action Rallies are broadcasted live on radio (WLIB 1190AM) and YouTube.

"I want to give special recognition to Charles Yoon, the President of KAAGNY," Reverend Sharpton said during the rally. "[The Korean community] gave scholarships to our young people with Youth Huddle [NAN's youth empowerment program], and it is a great thing that we show our young people at a young age that we work across the cultural and ethnic lines."

Back in June, KAAGNY led a delegation of Korean American community organizations to the House of Justice and met with Reverend Al Sharpton and the leaders of the National Action Network. In a demonstration of solidarity for the Black Lives Matter movement and the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, the Korean community gave support to NAN's food bank by donating bottled water, coveralls, masks, and face shields. KAAGNY and the Council of Korean Americans (CKA) also gave monetary donations to Youth Huddle, NAN's youth empowerment program.
