Getting Out the Vote Before the November 3 Election

Ahead of the November 3 Election, KAAGNY and supporting Korean American organizations were joined by local elected officials in Flushing, Queens to raise awareness for voter registration.

On a rainy Sunday before the election, community leaders and elected officials gathered at Leonard Square to continue the effort to encourage as many people to vote. Those present spoke on the importance of raising the voice of the community in the civic process by voting in what is the most important election of our lives.

President Charles Yoon (KAAGNY) was joined by Yoon Yong Park (Korean American Community Council), Dong Chan Kim (KACE), Linda Lee (KCS), Jeehae Fischer (KAFSC), Yonghwan Kim (Gangwon Province Association of New York), State Senator John Liu, State Senator Toby Ann Stavisky, City Councilman Peter Koo, and Acting Queensborough President Sharon Lee.
